They disagree over the contours of a public health insurance plan, the most explosive issue in the debate.
Baucus and Kennedy differ on the issue of a public plan. Senator Kennedy wants to open the enrollment in Mcaid to anyone under 500% of the national poverty level. Baucus does not believe we can *afford* a national plan roll-out. And now Chuck Schumer throws his hat in the ring thinking Baucus and Kennedy can unite behind *his* plan. How can any single individual actually believe they can solve the health care crisis… write the bill, and enact the legislation before July recess ???
